Please join us on October 5th, 2023 at 6:00 pm to hear about what Title 1 Funding is and to vote on who your parent representative will be for the Parent Advisory Council (PAC).
I.S. 5 is a Title I school. Title I schools must consult with the parents of students served in the Title I program regarding the use of Title I funding to support increased parental involvement in all activities related to the improvement of student academic achievement. In addition, Title I schools must form a Title I PAC Committee and elect a Title I Representative to help make informed decisions about spending and supports for students. The Title I PAC and Title I Chairperson Representative will work closely with our School Leadership Team, Principal Nepogoda and our PC Ms. Galicia to represent the voice of all families for the best for our children!
Names of parents/guardians interested in serving on the I.S. 5 PAC Committee can be emailed to KDobson@schools.nyc.gov or submitted at the start of the virtual meeting. A separate election process, run by our PA, immediately to follow the Annual Title I Meeting Will be held for the Title I Chairperson and Alternate.*
